grandma Clara

The other day we were shopping at Sprouts and Kendall wanted some babies for her birthday coming up. I told her that grandmas are coming out soon and they will get you one. She named off Grandma Connie, Grandma Shirley, and Grandma Clara. I told her that grandma Clara would have loved to get you a baby for your birthday. Then Kendall said "I wish grandma Clara was better and could be here"! Me too Kendall...Me too. She talks about Clara lots.

Look who turned FOUR today!

Met dad at the park for lunch today and brought subway and cupcakes.
Blowing out her four candles at breakfast time! (waffles, eggs and turkey bacon)

On a Roll

When Deon got home from work today we had dinner then moved out back. The evening began with doing head stands and hand stands, for others it was somersaults(aka Kendall). Then I got a wild hair to start cleaning out the mulch from the rocks. When it rains all the mulch from the playground gets washed into the rocks. I cleaned out the mulch and sand from the rocks, I was on a ROLL and could not STOP! I am such a stickler for bed time with the kids but last night I had a GOAL and I was going to finish it. By 9:00 I had to stop to put Kendall to bed, but I did make homemade granola and granola bars after that.
This fall I an excited for my last year home with the kids, Kendall will start Kindergarten 2011 school year so I will be ready to go to work(I think, I hope). This fall I am going to work at the church 10 hours during the week at a "mom's day out" program. I will be out Tuesday and Thursdays 5 hours each day, the best part is Kendall gets to go for FREE to the preschool class. I also have been asked to be the volunteer coordinator for the PTO at the kids school, I am excited to start that new adventure as well!
Since I am rambling, I will also add that my in-laws will be here Friday, we are swimming this Friday, having Kendall's B-day party Saturday after karate and Devin wants to do horse lessons while they are here too.
Beginning of August is my 10 year anniversary, my sisters bridal shower, and my yearly trip with my girls from KS, all in the first two weeks of August(can not wait for the upcoming events)!! Then school starts (sigh)

Forth of July Parade

Catch up: Monday Deon had off so he went to swim lessons with us. This is the kids last week for lessons and they were so excited dad was able to watch them. After we took Dixie to the dog park and then kids played at the park. We ate lunch at Applebees since the kids got free meals from the reading program. relaxed the rest of the afternoon.
Not to leave you hanging on the hobbies:
Well for 7 years my kids have been my hobby. I really have not had time to do anything except be a mommy(which I LOVE). Now my kids are older and I am ready to take up some hobbies I have missed. Well taking pictures is a hobby that I did without realizing it was a hobby. I LOVE pictures, which leads to my second hobby, Blogging (the two go together perfectly for me).
My other hobby is sewing and crafts. I have several projects I can not wait to get started on! My last hobby is my kids they will always be my hobby and that hobby comes first no matter what ;)
Me and the kids after the Boy Scout float
I found Kendall and stoped for a wonderful hug!

Devin tossing candy in the parade

The Boy Scout float, the lady in front is carrying the trophy-We took 1st PLACE!! WHOO-HOO!!

Giant sized wagon. The parade was an hour long, which is very good for our small town.

Andon waiting for candy...

Kendall waiting for a picture.
The Forth of July we went to the parade, ate lunch at the venders in the park and looked at the car show. Then went home for some quite time, Kendall lost her previliage of being at the park so we stayed home while the boys went to the park for rides, motorcycle stunt show and later a bmx stunt show. Then we grilled out and got the kids ready for bed, rented some movies and watched the fire works from the drive way while Kendall was sleeping. Andon and I sat under a umbrella (yes it was raining) dad and Devin were in the garage. By 10:00 the kids were tired so we finished watching from their bedroom window and Deon and I watched a movie.

On Friday the kids did not want to swim at City Park pool so we set up the tent in the yard, it got too HOT so we went to Ace to buy this pool and had a water day anyway!

Hula Girl..Her shirt says How to be a hula girl and gives 5 ways to be a hula girl.

Hiking

Hiking Hewlett's Gultch with Janesa, Cannon and Cailyn.
Our boys... Friends Forever
Kendall, Pony-Rainbow Dash, and mommy

The trail had 8 water crossing, the boys thought this was the deepest so they had to hike up their shorts.

Best buddies since birth, they met when they were 3 months old.

Andon in the tree...need I say more?

Best friends Cailyn and Kendall

Mommy helping Kendall across the water.

Another water crossing

And here is another water crossing.

BMX trail

On the subject of Bike riding...ANDON LEARNED TO RIDE HIS BIKE!! It just happened, we practiced with them (again) and he took off riding. He did have a BIG wipe out one evening while I was at work. He knocked his front teeth on the ground when he fell, pushing them up. So far everything is healing fine. The family I babysit for, the mom works at a dental office for children, she looked at it and gave us things to look for, everything seems good. On Saturday he was ready to ride again. We rode over to the BMX trail, a quarter of a mile from our house.
Me going on the trail without Kendall on back.
The first hill...

Kendall went on a mission to find "flowers" We had to take a picture because the flowers are really weeds that dad and I did not want in our yard(we did not tell her that).

Tired Dixie, she just runs with us and follows us on our bikes.

Exploring the area, crossing a bridge, just on the other side is the sledding hill(see sledding pics from March).

Racing around the trail

Dad and Devin ride the tag a long bike while Andon rides his bike and Kendall sits in the seat behind me, this is how we ride places. However at the BMX trail, the boys ride with dad on the tag a long because they are not at skill level to ride alone yet. Andon is still afraid of falling, and Devin has not learned how to ride bike yet. He is scared after seeing Andon fall and get hurt.

Spring Creek Grdens

Bike N Jazz concert at the gardens(June 25 2010):
Sand play
Fairy garden, the plants are all themed according to what fairies use.

I believe this is the salad garden, everything to put in a salad is planted here. They also had a pizza garden, and lots of others like this.

I thought this was neat because I have two sisters plus me (that makes 3 sisters).

Kendall went up and started dancing with these girls.

Devin wanted a picture with the roses, it turned out handsome :)

Talking through a tube, being silly!

Andon had fun filling the "rivers" and blocking the dams. He also pumped water from the spout of the giant watering can.

eating our picnic dinner, Deon met us here after work. Deon has been riding his bike 3-5 days a week to work. Wednesday June 23 was Bike 2 work day (how bike n jazz got its name). This was the 3rd year they held bike n jazz, it is always on Friday with a concert at the park. This was our 3rd year attending.
Earlier that day the kids and I went swimming with my friend Crista and her kids at City Park Pool.
