wondeful Mother's Day Weekend

So last weekend I ran the 10K and kept a pace up with this man for a while. The man and his dog have been running for 10 years together and over 7000 miles! The other nice thing about running with him was the fact that he thought I was 21!! Thank YOU, He just made my month!

William and Andon
After Communion we invited a few close friends and our family over for dessert.

As soon a we got home Devin HAD to change out of his tie and vest.
{Devin and Michael talking during dessert}

Kendall and Faith enjoying some dessert
We had cheesecake, cupcakes, cookies, brownies,

strawberry shortcake, ice cream and coffee.

The communion class-well half of the kids, the other half went last weekend.

Devin is front and center

3 generations of Werth boys, LOVE them ALL!

So proud of all that Devin has accomplished this year!

Mom, dad and Devin

Picture time! Grandma Connie bought him this handsome outfit.

However, it took several of us to convince him that he will NOT get stuck in his shirt if we button the top button, clip on the tie and button the vest. Grandma Shirley just sat back and laughed to herself-she too had the same problem 27 years ago. Thanks Ivan and Deon for all your convincing.

Making cupcakes for upcoming Communion Dessert Night.

Mother's Day Sunday:

Started my morning with Kendall bringing me breakfast in bed {graham crackers and watermelon}, dad even got a plate!

Deon was so kind, he cook breakfast for our family, my parents, my sister Cindy, and his parents. He served eggs, bacon, sausage links, strawberries, bagels and waffles! Thanks Deon!!

I got three handmade cards{my favorite}, a tomatoes plant that Andon grew at school and a flower pot he planted while at Walmart with the Werth's. Devin made a smelly lace bag and Kendall made a painted plaster of paris garden paver for my flower beds.

Later after enjoying the warm sunshine, Shirley and Ivan headed back to KS. Cindy found some plants to add to her backyard and went home to study. I took 2 of the kids with me to met my parents at Target. They had Andon with them, it was his turn to spend time with grandpa.

I dropped the kids off at home and went to get some plants for out back. Strawberries, onions, basil, cilantro, lettuce and flowers. Came home and enjoyed MORE SunShine!

Saturday Devin had time with grandpa Dave while Andon was at Hockey with dad and the Werth's. Kendall, grandma and I went to run a few errands then I came home and got lunch/dinner ready for the parents and Devin to celebrate his communion.

And that was my Weekend...

this weekend is scout graduation, so I MUST get these blankets DONE TODAY!

Last Weekend catch up

My oldest mowing the lawn for the 1st time. He did a good job, had a little help from dad, but did most of the back yard himself.

Mom and Kendall running to the finish line after the 1/2 mile kid run for the 4 and under run. She took off in a full sprint, and I had to pick up my pace just to keep up! I did just run 6.2 miles 2 hours ago. After the run, the kids got soft tacos from Chipotle.

I ran with Kendall in the 4 and under heap (1/2 mile) , while the 'Big Kids' ran a full mile by themselves.

The little runners! Their race started at noon.

{head bands say-Sister #1, Sister #2 & Sister #3}

The sisters after our 10K! My sister Sharon came up from Hays to run with us. We had a pasta night Saturday at my house(turkey meatballs with spaghetti sauce, garlic bread and whole wheat pasta with a salad) YUM!

Got up at 5:20 A.M. Sunday, ate peanut butter toast, coffee and water before heading to Cindy's. Scott dropped us off close to the start so we did not have to find parking.

We did good for the amount of training we put into this race-NONE! We actually ran the Boulder-Bolder in 2007 and ran it in 1 hour 20 minutes-This year{four years later=4 years OLDER} we beat our time by 2 minutes!
