Look mom, no training wheels

The evening ended with ice cream for dessert.

Coming to a stop, needs more practice with the brakes.
Go Kendall, she rode back and forth most of the evening!
Got to love the snow boots in summer.
She has a style All her own.
Speaking of style, on the way to the bmx trail earlier this evening, K says "no one will no it is me with shorts on" that is because she wears dresses/skirts ALL the time.

Devin took this picture of dad

A minor set back. Her first biking injury a scrape of the finger-nothing a band-aide didn't fix.
She was back out there determined to ride.

Getting started!

Our evening started with a nightly walk/ride to the bmx trail, which we/I take Dixie for a walk often. Kendall was riding with ONE training wheel the way there and back. When we got home, she told dad to take off the training wheel and they practiced, she took off while I was inside getting the camera. She rode the rest of the evening...so proud of her determination to ride!!

Building fun

As I was cutting triangles for a lemonade/cookie stand, I hated to waste the left over scraps, so I had Kendall put her letters in order to make a cute banner herself.
Devin was busy building a Lego Knights trash house

My sweet Andon built his sister a dollhouse with a loft up top, couch and bed.

Kendall's finished product-she had NO HELP!
BTW-she dresses her self

Building away, safety glasses, cowgirl boots, ear plugs and all!
I love the creativeness they have, makes each one of them unique.

My loves, all playing their DS games nicely together.
Kendall just got her DS Lite from grandma and grandpa for her Birthday.

My Fancy Little girl making Birthday Wishes for unicorns and ponies.

Taking a swim break to enjoy her Birthday party lunch: turkey and ham sandwiches,
butterfly pasta salad, fruit/cheese kabobs(I mean wands), chips, Nancy's extra fancy lemonade
& Raspberry Tea

Pool and slip-n-slide was also part of the Birthday Party

On Kendall's Birthday Thursday, the family went out to Red Robin for dinner.
Kendall got a BIG ice cream Sunday...

...And was super excited & embarrassed when the crew came to sing to her.

After work daddy brought home a bouquet of flowers for the
Birthday girl

Boys made a big tower from cups

Before the party events:
testing out the slip-n-slide

Weekend of July 4th:
My kids went to Kansas with my dad and sister for the week
D- and I enjoyed quite time together and went swimming one night
cooked together and watched Friday Night Lights on Netflix ...A LOT!

We had a family reunion Saturday the 2nd in Hays

While in Hays, Deon, my sister and I ran the Wild West 5k run,

and went to the parade before the reunion.

At the reunion the boys Loved the Dunk Tank and running around with cousins.

After the reunion, we met my sister, Deon's Sister and my friend Leigh at the Wild West Fest.

Sunday we spent the afternoon at the pool, stopped at Grandma Shirley's to see everyone
then headed over to Keith and Donna's for dinner. The kids shot off fireworks, I think Sunday was the big night for doing firecrackers. Cars stopped to wait while the boys were shooting off the fireworks in the middle of the road.

Fancy Nancy Party

Kendall's Fancy Nancy Party:

Boys took home a Handsome shirt while the girls took home a boa. Somehow K-has more boyfriends than girl friends {I made 9 shirts, and bought 4 boas} .

Tissue paper pom-poms

Cupcake layered parfaits

Fancy flowers from daddy

Displayed one of her Fancy Nancy books on a plate stand that I got at the Dollar store, I used dollies to decorate and also set her Fancy Nancy doll on the other side of the book.

I printed up a welcome sign, slide it into a sheet protector and used suction cups with hooks on them for the front door.

Same sign just the other side

Banner that spells Kendall, I also had one on the front porch that said Happy Birthday

Girls party favors plus I found these slap bracelets with fancy feathers,
Butterfly hair clip, sunglasses, mirrors, candy jewelry & fancy emery board.

I had so much fun planning this Soiree {fancy for party}!
