Thanksgiving Weekend

Happy Belated Thanksgiving Day!
So I left my camera in KS, NOT that I took ANY pictures anyways-but it is still there.
We drove Wednesday and arrived at my mom's about 4:30 had dinner and went to my mother-in-laws for the night. Thursday we gave thanks with my mother in law and her family; about 18 adults and 14 kids ages 18-2. It was busy but fun, lots of people to talk to, games, park weather for the kids and black friday shopping at 10:00 with my mom and sister!! However shopping in Hays, there was nothing I needed or really even wanted. I did find a squinkie cupcake set, hoddies and some $2 movies. I did have fun making the plans as we looked thru the adds with my sisters and shopping around.
Friday we had Thanksgiving with my mom, dad and sisters. It was windy and cooler. Went to Penny's, ordered Taco Shop for lunch{they were too busy} and got dinner ready with my mom. We sat around chatting after supervising Sharon clean the kitchen.
Saturday was SUPER windy, wtih Deon's family, we drove to Lucas for lunch anddrove by the Garden of Eden{so windy I didnt even want to get out to go inside}.
After we got back, I went to Leigh's house with Kendall. The big girls chatted and the little girls played. We went to Chinese Express for dinner and then the Mall. I bought my first pair of jeggings/leggings.
Sunday we actually left before noon-Colorado and Kansas time YEY!!  I put everything away and Deon made left overs for dinner. It was 6:30 and we both thought it was WAY later because we usually only get home at that time or later.
That is a "summed up"  blog about our Thanksgiving weekend!

Birthday Weekend

Friday the 4th was my Birthday!

Friday I ate dinner at Rodizio's! If you have never been there, it is very filling. Start with fried bananas and bread, salad bar with everything{quail eggs, variety of olives, soups, potatoes, pasta salads} then the servers come around offering a variety of meats{snake sausage, chicken hearts, sweet and sour chicken, pot roast, wild hog, garlic beef, tip steak...on and on} Afterwards, we stopped at DQ for ice cream.

Saturday Kendall and I did errands, later after dinner we celebrated my Birthday again with apple pie and ice cream. We had to have candles to make it a Birthday :)
Sunday while the kids were at Sunday School, Deon took me shopping for my Birthday! I got boots, jeans and a vest.
So far this week has been the normal for around here. No scouts Thursday, but I have PTO and I don't need a clone :)

Trunk or Treat

Angelina the Ballerina:
I bought a black cat tail and sewed pink silk fabric to cover it for a mouse tail
 Wockey player...warewolf/hockey player
Liza and the big boys handed out candy at Liza'a trunk, I took these cuties around the parking lot.
 Warewolf/bat
We promised Andon we could eat at Nordy's on Sunday, I wrote it on my menu board even. Then we got an invite to Trunk-or-treat and did not want to pass it up. SO...we invited the Whites to join us. Kids eat free and a magican comes around preforming tricks. Andon even did a jumping rubber band trick for the guy ;)

HALLOWEEN:
I watched the kids at the school parade and floated to the parties
 Ware-bat
 Wockey Player
Halloween night, I made home made chicken noodle soup, our friends brought over a platter of Subway subs and I had chips, we ate then left for trick-or-treating. This is the first year I ever took the kids trick-or-treating. I love getting the door but since Deon took Andon to hockey practice, missed dinner with us and the others started out for the night, he stayed home, had dinner and warmed up while passing out candy with Andon{Andon says trick-or-treating is boring and doesn't like candy that much} He played Angry Birds and helped with candy.
Michael and Devin{friends since they were 3}
Faith and Kendall{friends since birth} riding in the Wagon Express
Sugar High!!

Pumpkin Carving

Pac-man

Devin
Devin's Berenstain Bear's pumpkin
Busy at work making her own design she cut and carved all by herself. Where did my babies go?
My pumpkin design, I just loved this green/white squash/pumpkin, so I bought it for decoration. Then decided I needed to create a pumpkin too. After all, why should the kids have ALL the fun?
While I was going to get a flower for the hair bow, something strange happened to the eyes on this pumpkin...
I like the second eyes better anyway ;)  Andon changed them and I never noticed til he pointed it out to me.
Kendall's pumpkin-turned out good for a 5 year old!!
We carved the pumpkins Saturday night after Kendall, Andon and I went to the Gardens for a Halloween day of games with Liza, had pizza and movies Friday, watched the snow melt over the weekend, Sunday we went to Trunk-or-Treat with Liza then Nordy's for dinner. Trying to post pics...

Cold as Ice...

Shoot for your Goals
My kiddies left early on Monday, So I got to take this man to hockey practice! His last day is next Wednesday and he said he is ready to join a hockey team!  This  class is a skills/technique class.
A view from the deck, the kids still had school-after all...this is Colorado! I personally would have loved a stay home, cookie making, hot chocolate drinking, movie snuggling day at home.
A little "outside" table covered with snow

Our First snow fall was last week Wednesday. It was a good first snow.
My Foot step in the snow while I was out back shaking off trees that still had leaves.
The boys passed up this:
to play in the snow after school.
The Cold Cruiser
Making a ball for the snowman, then changed their minds and went out back to build a snow shoe course. I love their creativeness(not sure thats a word).
Making a fort with the pampas grass and snow
I saw in the paper that Fort Collins will spend 1.6 million for tree clean up in the area.  Everywhere has broken limbs, split trees, leaves and branches cover the sides of the street. Our trees are safe, thank goodness!
