Christmas/Holiday Events

Kendall's Preschool Program-Singing Jingle Bells
Kendall and I spent the day at Eyestone-Celebrating with the kids. We watched Polar Express with my 2nd grade class, then went to lunch with the the 2nd grade teachers. Helped Andon's class with a craft and went with them to an assembly. Returned to do more crafts and centers. Andon was so sweet with Kendall. He helped her with some crafts, held her hand while they listened to stories and even told me he would be in charge of her while I go to Devins class.
Devin at school, eating a snack during his holiday party.

Children's Garden light show. They had fairy dogs doing tricks, lights around the garden and Santa

In the summer, kids can pump water from this huge watering can and build dams through the mazes.

A visit with Santa while drinking hot coco and cider. Our friends Liza, William and Andrew and grandma meet us at the garden. Devin asked for a real dog...we'll have to See about that Santa told him

Dr Seuss playhouse

Wellington Fire Department Open House.
Devin is at the age where he is wondering. Instead of telling Santa what he wants, he was checking out his beard. He noticed how this Santa was different from the other one and said he could tell the beard was fake.

Santa made me sit on his lap too!

Firetrucks, Deon was sure interested in finding out all about the different gadgets on the trucks. the kids had fun climbing around on the firetrucks.

I DID IT!

It has been a long adventure, but I finally made it. I pursued my teaching degree after graduating High School, I had several bumps in the road between then and now. We moved to Colorado so I waited to gain residency, then started a family and took another break to stay home with them. I returned in January 2009 and finished my semester of student teaching this fall.
My Graduation Party: I had not interest in walking. I know in my heart the huge accomplishment I have made. Having a family, changes your view on many things in life. (Always for the better)

Cheers to me! Devin is toasting with sparkling grape juice. The kids did AWESOME at the party. They played nice and were very excited to decorate the basement, which was the kids
party place.

Cheers with the Leikam sisters and the kids-minus Kendall, she was asleep.

Catch up time

1st and 2nd grade music program-Holiday Theme. Devin and Grant waiting for the song to begin. They were dancing candles!

I will spend a couple posts catching up on the last 2 months- This post will include my Birthday, Thanksgiving, and the Parade of Lights
Kendall and Andon staying warm while watching the Parade of Lights here in Wellington. Devin and I were in the parade with the Boy Scout float. Afterwards we went to the Wellington chili supper, Santa was there, and we found out Devin's float took third place! This has been a tradition of ours since we moved here, one of the perks of a small town.

We spent Thanksgiving with family in Hays this year. Thursday were had a dinner at the Werth's house. Shirley made lots of good food, lots of family to visit with, and the kids had a great time playing outside. The weather was perfect. On Friday, Sharon and I cooked dinner at the Leikam's house. The Beiker's joined us for dinner. Earlier that day, I worked out with Sharon and went to lunch with Leigh and Tara.

Kendall is working out with her little weights.

My Birthday Celebration...we went to Pizza Hut on my Birthday, then on Friday night Deon picked up Taco Johns and a carrot cake.
