coffee, blogging, cold out day

Today is a Blogging, coffee drinking, cold outside kinda morning!
Today I have 6 kids running around the house-Crazy-Yes I know! Well I was going to watch Faith(who I always watch M-F) and her brother since they have NO School today. Then Andon wanted a friend over so we called Luke, his buddy since they were 2 1/2( Luke was here when I did daycare). So Luke and Faith came over-No Michael. That left Devin w/o a friend, we called Hagen over-Now everyone but me has a friend over-LOL!
I am OK w/o a friend today because I have been SO blessed this past week-Last Friday I went walking with Melissa at the gym while K-did ballet, Lunch with Liza after, Crista stopped by with Kendall's toy she left at her house, ended the day with Pizza and movies on Friday with my hubby and kids. Saturday I went to a training that my friend of 12 years was hosting, after we went to lunch-so good to catch up with her. Then my friend from Hays texted/called me, Canning with my sister, Thanksgiving with our BEST Family Friends the White's, and Black Friday shopping with Jana! I have been SO BLESSED with Friends!!
Thanksgiving break has been relaxing and crazy. Devin has been acting out lately, he bothers his sister ALL the TIME! I took Devin on a date Sunday since he needed some Devin/mommy time we talked during lunch at Chiles about ways to improve his behavior(a Chuck-E-Cheese award chart for Not Getting sent to timeout; he gets a sticker on the chart and can take a friend with him when the chart is filled). The other place he choose to go was Petsmart to look for a Huskey Dog-ended up with a fish insteaad-weeeh I do not want another dog right now!
I think I am going to make cookie today for the kids to decorate!
Blog more later.

Well, the past few weeks have been busy still. My Birthday dinner was AWESOME! I called a sitter at the last minute, went to Rodizios Grill for dinner. It was very good! We start with a salad bar( a huge one) appetizers, then the round of meat begins. When we wanted to try more we turned our table topper to green and red when we needed a breather. We sampled at least 12 different types of meat. Deon and I are not big meat eaters but everything was tastey, even the dessert. When we got home, the kids were sleeping(it was 8:15 when we walked in) YEAH!

Scouts is going well, I enjoy being part of something the boys enjoy doing. Kendall enjoys dance class and pre-k. I enjoy being part of PTO and being able to spend time at the boys school.

The highlite of last week and many weeks to come:
dropped Devin off at horse lessons, went to the fire deptment to get a form for Deon. While I was there they told me it was to be signed and turned in by 5:00 that day. For ME that meant driving to Ft.C to have Deon sign it and be back at 5 to work and return the form. I left at 3:45 to pick up Devin. I did something I RARLY DO, I left the van running while I walked 10 feet away to wait for lessons to end. While waiting we hear a loud crash, look around and find my van in the ditch. It drove through the front fence and down the ditch. Kendall and Andon were in the van, they were FINE. Andon said it was FUN it was like splash mountain-WTF! I was shaken up!! Everything could have been so much worse. The van drove right out of the ditch, I got Devin (he did not even know anything happened), drove to FC and back turned in the paper work and made it to work by 5:00. WOW--What A Day!

Halloween day! We started our day with Sunday breakfast:Eggs, turkey bacon, and pancakes, headed to church, the kids had religion class. When we got there, they had an All Saints Day carnival so Deon and I ended up staying there and helping. Usually we go grocery shopping, get a coffee and then pick them up. Later Deon and Devin went to Ace to load hay bales from the Ace maze to Janet's house. Devin dressed as a cowboy, and loved spending the afternoon with just dad doing "farm work" Janet is a scout leader-she was Devin's last year and Andon's this year.
Ate chili and cinnamon rolls for an early dinner(tradition of ours) then our friends Wes, Liza, William and Andrew came out to trick or treat with us. This is the 3rd year they came out!

Here are the carved pumpkins!
Halloween Eve costumes: Horse, Lego guy and Cinderella

For Lunch we ate Mummy Dogs!

Well I am off for the evening: It is my Birthday and I have to get ready for a dinner date with my hubby!

HAPPY HALLOWEEK

Cub scouts had a pack meeting Oct. 30 at Ace Hardware, the scouts got awards, hot dogs, and crafts. Ace Hardware set up a straw bale maze, a no so haunted house, and served coco and cider.
Devin is hiding in the maze-love the sky in the background.
Before heading to the scout meeting, we had a full morning of events.
Kendall is cleaning out her pumpkin, she did not mind the pumpkin guts! She collected all the guts from her 3 pumpkins and is planning to plant them ALL in the back yard.

The lucky pumpkins chosen by Kendall

Helpful, handsome, Halloween Hero! I enjoyed spending time at the pumpkin patch with him! Deon took Devin after the gardens to get a Jumba Juice. While we stopped to get pumpkins. Sadly I waited until the day before, I usually go the 1st weekend of October-where has the time gone?

Searching through the remains. The mini pumpkins were their favorite.

We(I) Missed having Devin with us this year, I guess I have to start getting used to it-he is 8 and did not mind missing the tradition-of 8 years :( He just wanted to be sure I got him a pumpkin!

Watching a magic trick Saturday at the Gardens. Andon is really interested in magic! He learned a jumping rubber band trick. This a a picture of the disappearing egg, we never did find out how to do it.

The favorite spot at the gardens, the giant watering can with dams, rivers, and ponds. BTW those blue things are NOT the giant watering can LOL!

Part of the watering can, he pumped it long enough, the water came out and filled the pond.

Painting pumpkins at the gardens. We went Saturday 10/30/10. Deon went to help friends move then met us here. The kids saw a school buddy Luke leaving as we were coming, talked to a talking pumpkin, read stories with black labs, pumpkin bowling, and played in the sand box.
That pretty much took up our entire Saturday-Gardens, pumpkin patch, carving pumpkins and scout meeting(FUN)!

Friday I worked at the gym, then headed to school parties. i was in charge if planning the 1st grade party. It went good, the teacher asked if I would plan Christmas and Valentines!! I was honored-I love doing that stuff! After School was the trick-or-treat down town Wellington, then ended the day with our weekly Friday pizza and movies-How to train your dragon-love that movie-a Christmas gift for sure!

Recess at Pre-K

Kendall and her friend Faith eating snack at school. She is a witch for this event, Cinderella for most others and Tom cat of another outing.

October 26th-the start of Halloweek-
Treatsilvanya-trick-or-treating at the Farm. The Hershey bar I made but he only wore it ONCE. Stinker! He was a cow boy and horse for the other things.

My three goblins at the farm.

Every year we have gone with our GOOD friends the White's(hence the two boys-cow and dragon). Stopped in the barn for a cookie and a photo.

This is the set up-business' in the area paint the wooden doors, then hand out candy as children knock. The weather was prefect this year-last year we rushed to get done, the hay ride seemed to take FOREVER because it was so cold.

Here is a better picture of the set-up the farm is covered with venders like this promoting their business-and what better way? give candy to the kids!

Waiting in line-here is Kendall(Cinderella) and William (the dragon that protects the princess). William is her boyfriend, he has been for several months. I joke with her about Erick or Ben, she ALWAYS tells me "they are not my boyfriend, remember William is"

Lego Head! While choosing costumes, I came across a brick Lego-a red box with red Solo cups cut into the box. NO! Andon wanted to be a Lego guy, so I searched the web and saw an idea similar to this. Deon and I team worked a couple evenings and...TADA! We really can work together to make great things!

The Beautiful Bride! She is my sister, my best friend, and I love her!

The kids at rehearsal practice. The practice was at the Munjor Catholic Church, dinner was at The Store(not really a store)

Deon took Ivan's horse out for a ride.

Grandpa giving Kendall a horse ride. Kendall and I helped with Wedding things Thursday and Friday before the "big" day. We got our nails done, helped finish last project and tried on my dress several times before it fit.

The boys spent their time at the horses, the park, and at looking at the tractors their Great uncle restored.

Great Aunt Mary Lou and Uncle Bill: He restores old tractors!

He could open a museum, these are Awesome.

My favorite tractor, I would drive one of these if I lived on a farm!

Dad and the boys with the werth cousins.

Andon can be found in the trees!
